Computer users and makers go green in Climate Savers Computing Initiative.
I’m really glad big companies are getting behind the ‘Save the Planet’ movement. I expected larger, most established organisations to be the ones to drag their heels, as they can always use the ‘it has be in the best interests of our shareholders’ clause to avoid doing anything with might cost them money. That excuse always seems the most ridiculous when it’s to do with doing what is best for the planet we all live on. Shares (and money) are worth nowt (‘nothing’ for non-Yorkshire folk) with no planet to live on… ;)
Being a production company, the vast majority of our energy usage is running computers all day, so these sorts of initiatives will help us do our part too, which can’t be a bad thing.
